Quick Start

Get up and running with FloWords in 5 minutes.

1. Set Up Your Microphone

Section titled “1. Set Up Your Microphone”
  1. Click the FloWords menu bar icon Logo
  2. Select Settings → Audio
  3. Choose your preferred microphone
  4. Speak to test your audio levels (the bar should move)

2. Start Dictating

Section titled “2. Start Dictating”
  1. Place your cursor in any text field (e.g., Notes, Word, Slack)
  2. Press the global shortcut: F5 (default)
    • You can change this shortcut in Settings
  3. Speak naturally
  4. Press F5 again to stop

FloWords will transcribe your speech and insert the text directly at your cursor.
